As the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the China Daily Group, Mr. Zhou Li assumes responsibility for overseeing operations across various regions, encompassing East Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, the Middle East, as well as Hong Kong and Macao. Mr. Zhou joined China Daily in 1990, following the completion of his Master of Law degree from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

From 1990 to 2015, he diligently served in editorial, business, and managerial capacities within the China Daily Group, commencing as a copy editor and progressing to the roles of news editor, executive director, deputy secretary-general, member of the editorial board, and finally, deputy editor-in-chief.

Between 2006 and 2008, Mr. Zhou assumed the position of publisher and editor-in-chief of the Shanghai Star. Since 2010, he has been the publisher and editor-in-chief for the China Daily Hong Kong edition. Furthermore, he concurrently served as the publisher and editor-in-chief of China Daily Asia Pacific from 2011 to 2023. Since 2019, he has been appointed as deputy editor-in-chief of the China Daily Group.

Apart from his commitments at China Daily, Mr. Zhou also serves as the Chairman of the Video Committee of the Asia News Network (ANN), a prominent alliance comprising 22 major media organizations spanning 20 countries in Asia. His initiatives include the establishment of the China Daily CEO Roundtable and Asia Leadership Roundtable programs, exclusive networks composed of esteemed government officials, CEOs, and senior executives from Fortune 500 companies across Asia and China.
