Philipp Farenholtz is an investment officer in IFC’s Blended Finance department, based in Singapore. He focuses on structuring challenging, developmental transactions across different sectors, blending IFC’s own account resources with funds from various donor programs to promote specific developmental objectives. Themes supported with these blended finance transactions include smallholder farmer livelihoods and food security, economic transformation, or climate change mitigation/climate adaptation and resilience. Prior to joining IFC, Philipp worked in corporate finance, mezzanine finance and investment banking, providing financing and M&A solutions to corporate and Private Equity clients across Europe. He has more than 20 years of international financing experience and holds a Master’s degree in Economics from University at Albany and Executive MBA from INSEAD.
