Professor Desmond Hui is the Founding Head of the Department of Art and Design, Director of the BA in Cultural and Creative Industries, BA in Art and Design, and MA in Cultural Heritage Management programmes at the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong. He is at present Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Built Heritage Conservation, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Art of the Museum Advisory Committee, Member of the Country and Marine Parks Board, Buildings Ordinance Appeal Tribunal, and Museum Expert Advisor for the Hong Kong Government. Since 2015, he has been invited to be Expert Advisor by UNESCO to support the “Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions” and the “Culture/2030 Indicators for Sustainable Development Initiative”.
