C K Chow is the Chairman of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited. He is also a non-official member of the Executive Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, a non-official member of the Economic Development Commission of the HKSAR and Convener of the Working Group on Transportation under the Commission, and non-official member of Commission of Strategic Development. He is also a member of The Standing Committee on Judicial Salaries and Conditions of Service. He was appointed the Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Corruption of the Independent Commission Against Corruption in January 2013. Prior to joining HKEx, Chow was the Chief Executive Officer of the MTR Corporation Limited from 2003 to 2011; the Chief Executive Officer of Brambles Industries PLC, a global support services company listed in the UK and Australia, from 2001 to 2003; and the Chief Executive of GKN PLC, a global engineering company, from 1997 to 2001. He also served as a Non-Executive Director of Standard Chartered PLC from 1997 to 2008 and Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) from 2004 to 2010.
Chow is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of AIA Group Ltd., a Steward of the Hong Kong Jockey Club and a director of the World Federation of Exchanges.
